“Howard’s Very Own” is the premiere platform for Howard University Entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses. The Howard’s Very Own platform includes an online directory, a docu-series, and an entrepreneurship fair. “Howard’s Very Own” began as a web series documenting and interviewing Howard University Students as successful entrepreneurs contributing to the global society. Since the conception of this project, the Howard’s Very Own brand has garnered the attention of many individuals in the Howard community.
Our goal is to expose Howard University and the outer community to the businesses and ventures created by our very own Bison. We hope that with this platform, we can foster a trend of supporting Black and minority-owned businesses, which will in turn facilitate economic prosperity in our communities.
The Howard’s Very Own Entrepreneurship Fair will give business owners the opportunity to promote and present their businesses with opportunities to showcase their skill or produce and present short pitches. Bringing this platform together was a collaborative effort of Culture Starved Magazine, Champion Studio and the Howard University Entrepreneurial Society.
